CaseworksOut of the Ashes

For parents in a custody case

Keep the record. Keep your credibility.

A custody case is decided on what you can show, not on what you remember. Caseworks turns the photos, screenshots, emails, and messages already on your phone into an organized, dated record you can hand to an attorney, a mediator, or a judge.

Why this exists

I built Out of the Ashes Caseworks in the middle of my own case. I had thousands of photos, screenshots, and messages, and no good way to show what they added up to. Dates blurred together. The moments that mattered were buried under everything else.

What I needed was not more evidence. I needed a way to keep what I already had in order, so the facts could speak for themselves, and so that when a professional asked a question, I had the answer in front of me instead of somewhere in my camera roll.

That is what this is. A place to put everything, a structure that sorts it, and a record someone else can actually read.

How it works

From a camera roll to a case file.

01

Put everything in one place.

Upload what you have as you find it: screenshots of texts, photos, emails, court papers, calendar notes. Nothing gets lost in a camera roll again, and nothing is changed once it is in.

02

Let the patterns surface.

Each item is dated and filed by folder and by the best-interest standards that apply in your case. A missed exchange stops being one bad night and becomes one of nine.

03

Hand over something they can use.

A chronological record your attorney, coach, or mediator can read in minutes, with every entry pointing back to the screenshot or page it came from.

An attorney can only argue what you can show them.

What goes wrong

Good cases are lost on paperwork, not on facts.

  1. 1Evidence that exists but cannot be found on the day it matters.
  2. 2Filings written from anger instead of from the record.
  3. 3Patterns that only show up once the dates sit side by side.
  4. 4Not writing it down the day it happened.
  5. 5Walking into mediation without knowing what the court will weigh.
  6. 6Finding the right professional too late, or giving them too little to work with.

AI, and the line it does not cross

AI does the sorting. You make every call.

Caseworks uses AI to organize and summarize what you upload. Every result is yours to review, correct, or throw out. Nothing is final until you say so.
